The Cushman School is launching its first-ever 6-week Annual Fund campaign this fall, running October 8 through Give Miami Day on November 19. The campaign invites every Cushman family to support The Cushman Fund through three different avenues, all counting toward one shared goal: 100% family participation.
Tuition funds a Cushman education; The Cushman Fund funds the Cushman experience, the small class sizes, safety upgrades, innovation labs, performing arts programming, and financial aid that keep the Cushman community strong. It also helps the school attract and retain the amazing faculty and staff who are at the heart of everything Cushman does. Families can make their gift in any of three ways this fall: selecting an annual Giving Circle, sponsoring or attending Halloween Howl on October 24, or giving on Give Miami Day, November 19, Miami’s biggest single day of philanthropy and traditionally Cushman’s largest fundraising day of the year. A gift made through any of the three becomes that family’s Cushman Fund gift for the year.

“Our six-week Fall Campaign is designed to give every family an opportunity to participate in a way that is meaningful to them,” said Lisa Arvin, Director of Advancement. “Rather than viewing these as separate fundraising efforts, we’re bringing three opportunities together as part of one Fall Campaign. Families can choose how they would like to participate, and every form of engagement helps strengthen our Cushman community and support our students.”
Every dollar to The Cushman Fund supports the operating budget directly, across six areas: safety and security, technology, athletics, innovation, performing arts, and scholarships and financial aid.
The campaign builds toward Give Miami Day, when thousands of South Florida donors come together for 24 hours of citywide giving, and which has traditionally been Cushman’s single largest fundraising day of the year.
