Annual Spring Play

APPLAUSE to our Performing Arts Team, the first through 4th grade supporting cast, all those behind the scenes, and our 5th grade STARS! From the stage of our new Play to Learn performing arts and athletics center, our Spring Play production of Willy Wonka was epic!

A favorite tradition for decades, the annual Spring Play is a highlight to Cushman’s performing arts programming. Each year, this spectacular musical includes all our elementary students while challenging the 5th graders with lead roles in what has become an iconic rite-of-passage for them prior to matriculating on to middle school.

All 1st through 5th graders have an opportunity to shine in front of an audience of their family, their peers, and members of the Cushman community in productions that have included: The Little Mermaid, Annie, Aladdin, Mulan and many more… This mindful performing arts event inspires confidence, public speaking and poise in all of our students while providing an exciting opportunity for our aspiring thespians, dancers and vocalists to showcase their talents. Aside from the thrill of opening night, the weeks of preparation and practice leading up to Curtain Call build tremendous camaraderie, important skill sets and forge friendships that last a lifetime.

Thank you for the amazing entertainment for two unforgettable nights at the theater. A standing ovation to all involved!
