The college admissions process is one that we all remember, and it is now that thrilling time for Cushman High School’s 17 seniors! From late December through the present, seniors who applied for Early Action or Early Decision have been receiving their notices, and they are thrilled! While some seniors have received these Early Action or Early Decision letters, the majority of decisions are made in March and April during the Regular Decision acceptance time. Acceptances thus far include Appalachian State, Auburn University, Babson College, Barry University, Eckerd College, Elon University, Endicott, Flagler College, Florida State University (FSU), Indiana- Purdue University, Ithaca College, Johnson & Wales, Lasell University, LIM, Lynn University, Marist College, Mercyhurst, North Carolina State, Pace University, Purdue University, Rollins College, Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), Stetson University, St. Leo University, St. Thomas University, Tulane, University of Alabama, University of Colorado-Denver, University of Hartford, University of New Hampshire, University of New Haven, University of Miami, University of North Carolina-Charlotte, University of Rhode Island, University of South Carolina-Colombia, University of Tampa, and Wheaton College.
Not only is the deep excitement of receiving college acceptance letters in the air, but, the ‘Merit Scholarship’ notices are coming in as well. To date, with three more months to go, our senior class collectively has already been awarded just over two million dollars in Merit Scholarships! Merit Scholarships are typically awarded on the basis of academic, athletic or artistic merit. Notifications for private and public scholarship awards are granted through June 2020.
We are so proud of Cushman’s graduates. They stand apart from others in the application of their scholarship and in their demonstration of character!
