Parents as Partners
Current research shows that the success of students lies in the partnership between the home and school. At The Cushman School, we recognize that parents are our partners in the quest to develop students as future leaders who display a strong character and a life-long love of learning.
There are many opportunities for parents to become involved in the school life of their children. From participating in Parent-Student Literacy Circles, to helping distribute pizza on Pizza Lunch days, to serving as a member of our Cushman School Parent Association (CSPA) to the participation of effective communication exchange between the teacher, student and parent in the quest for student achievement, there are many ways parents can partner with us during their child’s Cushman experience!
Other opportunities available for parents to partner with us include but aren’t limited to:
- Assist with special events such as the annual Spring Play, Halloween or Harvest Howl, Reading Round Up, Annual Blue Ribbon Gala, and the Cushman Picnic
- Serve as a room or board parent to your child’s teacher
- Drive and serve as a chaperone on school field trips
- Become involved with your child’s classroom special days
Giving of yourself and partnering with us in any way you are able will surely and positively contribute to wonderful Cushman memories and a successful experience for you and your child!
